The Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce is seeking your views to influence the development of the statutory Hull & East Yorkshire Local Skills Improvement Plan (HEY LSIP) 2.0. We would therefore be grateful if you could spare a short amount of time to complete our survey to ensure the new HEY LSIP (coming into effect in the summer 2026) is truly reflective of your needs.

Minister for Skills, Baroness Jacqui Smith says:

“Local Skills Improvement Plans (LSIPs) are critical for developing the skilled workforce Hull & East Yorkshire needs. I’m delighted that the second wave of LSIPs is currently underway and I encourage businesses to engage with the Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce to articulate their skills needs and work with the Hull & East Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority and local skills providers, including colleges and local universities, to develop solutions to address them.”

The purpose of this survey is to better understand the needs of local employers, particularly private sector organisations, based in or around Hull & East Yorkshire. We are keen to understand your key priorities and changes needed to ensure our education and skills provision is more closely aligned to employer and local labour market needs. This will also assist us in understanding what the Chamber and other key stakeholders across the local area can do to better support you… so your views are essential!

This survey should take no longer than ten minutes to complete, and will ask you to share insights on current and future skills, training and recruitment needs and gaps within your organisation; as well as seeking to gain your understanding on different levels of provision, providers and other matters that can impact on your organisation.
