Tuesday 22nd July, 12pm – 3.30pm
The Recruitables team are looking to work with local employers and organisations to create bespoke work experience opportunities for care experienced young people aged between 16 to 25. This is to assist those young people to build the necessary skills and experience to help them gain and maintain employment in Hull.
As well as providing opportunities for care leavers, we are also here to help employers develop better practices for hiring and retaining care experienced young people.
We would like to invite you to our launch/employer event on the 22nd July 2025 at The Jubilee hall.
This isn’t just another event — it’s a chance to connect directly with Care-Experienced Young People who are ready to share their stories, challenge perceptions, and shape a better future.
You’ll hear from passionate young voices leading the conversation on employment and opportunity. You will also hear from Chris Wild, author, campaigner and care leaver, whose lived experience and powerful insight continue to inspire national change.
Hear from The Recruitables themselves — a group of peer researchers with lived experience — who have uncovered the real barriers Care-Experienced Young People face when trying to access work, and how employers like you can make a difference.
