...and maintaining that employer voice throughout delivery will be equally important.
As we now move from development into delivery, we are establishing a new programme of HEY LSIP 2.0 Thematic Working Groups and we want employers to continue to be involved! During the development of HEY LSIP 2.0, our sectoral working groups provided important insight into the specific needs of different industries. However, the evidence also highlighted that many of the challenges employers face are shared across sectors.
We will host four thematic working groups that reflect the main themes of the LSIP
Moving to thematic groups will enable us to bring employers from different sectors together alongside education and training providers, public-sector partners and VCSE organisations to focus on these shared challenges and practical solutions. It will also help us reduce duplication, make the best use of employers' time and ensure that activity is focused on delivering the priorities identified through HEY LSIP 2.0.
What will the new Thematic Groups focus on?
Rather than each group covering every aspect of its theme at every meeting, each meeting will have a specific area of focus, allowing for more detailed discussion and clearer outcomes. We recognise that not every organisation will want or need to attend every meeting. You can therefore choose the themes and individual meetings that are most relevant to you.
Our intention is to host our first set of meetings online as follows:
