THE Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce's Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) team are pleased to announce that their next Quarterly Forum will be taking place on Friday 19th April, from 8.30am – 11.30am. For this Forum we will be focusing on Theme 5 of the Hull & East Yorkshire LSIP – Accessibility.

What do we mean by Accessibility?

This theme is split into four threads:

  • Ensuring matters that effect business are written in a user-friendly language that is understood by all.
  • Access to information with regards to training and funding.
  • Accessible pathways to all on to provision available, particularly those who are considered to be at a disadvantage.
  • Support in assessing their organisations’ skills needs for the future.

We will be using this forum to take a deeper dive into some of these elements and gain YOUR input on what actions we need to take moving forward.

Event outline

Our aim is to bring together employers, providers and stakeholders to:

  • Update you on the work of the Hull & East Yorkshire LSIP.
  • Gain your views on what support you need to access funding and training relevant to your organisation.
  • Provide input into future LSIP engagement and communication activities.
  • Check, inform and help shape our plans for taking the LSIP forward.

Why is it important?

We want to continually ensure employers are at the heart of the skills system, and for this theme we need to ensure we are building a user-friendly, dynamic and comprehensive skills accessibility model.

We look forward to seeing you there.
